Below are instructions on how to use our new AMANDA permitting system. Each document gives specific instructions for the tasks you need to do to find permits and see their status. Click each title to view the full document.

1. Search Permits and People

Search for permits using the Permit module and My Office module, search for people and open an additional AMANDA session

2. Search Properties

Search a property record, associated folders to a property record, associated folders to multiple property records

3. Folder All Folders

Search for all permits related to a property is a future function in AMANDA. The steps in this guide provide an alternative way to accomplish the task using a different system, Portland Maps.

4. Overview of Processes

Identify the status of a permit and what review processes are mandatory prior to permit issuance.

5. Parent-Child Indicator

View the full scope of a project by viewing parent-child relationships between permits. In our system, a child permit gets linked to a larger parent project.

6. Correspondence Tab

View important communication between the public and the City through documents and attachments in the Correspondence tab.

7. View TRIM Documents

View TRIM documents, important documents about a permit or project. Some examples are approved construction documents, application forms, and required submittal documents.

8. AMANDA Maps

Use the geographic information system (GIS) tool that provides specific property-level information and helps with visualizing property records. This tool is similar to Portland Maps.
