June 16, 2014. In an effort to provide customers additional time to start the permitting of a project approved through a Land Use Review process during the economic recession, the City Council provided an extension to the expiration of Land Use Review decisions.
The Bureau of Development Services wants to remind its customers that the extension of time granted by City Council to obtain building permit(s) related to these Land Use Reviews expires June 30, 2014. Any Land Use Review decision that became effective between May 27, 2006 and December 31, 2008 or between May 16, 2009 and June 30, 2011 will expire if a City permit has not been issued for approved development, or the approved activity has not begun, by June 30, 2014, per Zoning Code Section 33.730.130.B. Failure to obtain the required permit(s) may result in the applicant going through the Land Use Review process again.
If you have questions, please contact the Bureau of Development Services Zoning Hotline at (503) 823-7526.
If you’ve abandoned the project, or the permits have already been issued, please disregard this notice.
