The ITAP Team continues to make progress developing specifications for configuring the future base permitting software (Infor Public Sector, or IPS) according to the workflows of individual permit types, such as trade permits, land use reviews, etc. This includes designing integration with ProjectDox software to be used for digital plan review. Meanwhile, technical teams are working on interfaces with related computer systems, data cleanup to prepare for eventual migration, and GIS aspects of the project.
ITAP Customer Advisory Committee Seeks Additional Members
ITAP’s Customer Advisory Committee is a citizen advisory committee, comprised of approximately twelve members who represent a variety of interests. The Committee helps the ITAP Team identify any issues with current business processes that may be corrected in the new permit system or that can be addressed prior to system implementation. The Committee also contributes in other ways to project success, by providing the ITAP Team with feedback and input on the project as it moves forward.
The committee is currently seeking three to four additional members. In particular, the committee seeks representatives from:
- Small, Medium and Large-Sized Construction Companies performing either/or residential and commercial work
- City residents interested in neighborhood safety and livability issues related to new construction and remodeling projects
- Plumbing and/or Electrical Contractors
ITAP Project Manager Rebecca Sponsel emphasizes, “We really need to hear from our customers and what their needs are for the automated services that ITAP will provide.”
The Committee currently holds quarterly meetings, for one hour, on the second Wednesday of the month (February, May, August, November) at the 1900 Fourth Avenue Building.
