Effective January 2, 2015, the Bureau of Development Services (BDS) and Urban Forestry, Bureau of Parks & Recreation (UF/PP&R) started implementation of the City’s new Tree Regulations contained in Title 11 Trees (Tree Code). All building permit applications submitted to BDS will be reviewed for compliance with the new Tree Code, Title 11, requirements. The Tree Code also applies to non-development related tree planting/pruning/and removal on private property and in the public right of way planting strips. The Tree Code is the outcome of the Citywide Tree Policy Review and Regulatory Improvement Project approved by City Council in April, 2011, and funded in the FY 2014/2015 budget.
Also effective January 2, 2015, all services formally provided by Urban Forestry at East Delta Park (10910 N Denver Avenue) will be moved to the Development Services Center (Permit Center) at the 1900 Building located at 1900 SW 4th Avenue in an effort to make the City’s permitting process more convenient and streamlined for customers.
