The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) has been gathering community input to develop Portland’s new Comprehensive Plan. Currently, the Planning and Sustainability Commission is heading into several long work sessions to discuss various issues in the plan, and Portlanders are invited to submit written testimony up until March 13, 2015.
If you’d like to submit testimony, please consult the work session calendar and send in your comments at least a week before the topic you are interested in is on the agenda. This will allow the commissioners time to review your submission before their deliberations.
Information on the work sessions (including meeting dates and agenda) and submitting testimony can be found on the the BPS blog.
Summary of Plan translated into five languages
In further efforts to engage all Portlanders, including those whose first language is not English, BPS has translated a brief summary of the plan into five languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Somali, Russian, and Vietnamese. View and read the summaries.
The summary is intended to describe the plan in a way that makes it easier for Portlanders to learn more about the plan in their native language. Why is this important? Read the condensed Comprehensive Plan Draft to find out more!
