BDS began work on a new strategic plan in 2008, prior to the last recession. Work on the plan ceased during the recession but was resumed in 2012. A final draft plan was produced in 2014, but implementation was delayed in order to allow other organizational improvement processes to be completed, including an employee survey, an organizational assessment, and a customer survey. These processes have been substantially completed and resulting changes are being implemented throughout the organization.
We now intend to update the strategic plan to reflect and incorporate the results of the other organizational improvement processes, then officially launch the strategic plan in Spring 2016. We will be assisted in this process by Mark Fulop (Facilitation & Process), who helped us put together the draft plan in 2014.

To help BDS employees, as well as, customers and stakeholders re-engage with the strategic plan, we will be re-forming groups that worked on each of the plan’s focus areas and seeking input from our key advisory groups. We intend to formally launch the strategic plan in Spring 2016.
