We are moving closer toward the launch of our new Strategic Plan, currently scheduled for August 2016. Our consultant (Mark Fulop with Facilitation & Process, LLC) has been meeting with bureau managers and staff to review and discuss the draft Plan and hear their feedback.
A draft plan was initially completed in 2014, but was put on hold pending the completion of other organizational development processes, including the development of the bureau’s 5-Year Racial Equity Plan. Equity Plan objectives mirror Strategic Plan goals while each Strategic Plan goal includes critical equity components.
While only a portion of the dozens of Equity Plan outcomes are directly included in the Strategic Plan, the effect of the Equity Plan will significantly contribute to the successful cultural change the Strategic Plan sets out to accomplish – to build trust and respect throughout the bureau at all levels.
