The Green Loop was the star attraction at this year’s Design Week Portland
The Green Loop, a bold new concept of the Central City 2035 plan, envisions a linear park that connects people to places within and beyond Portland's downtown neighborhoods and to the Willamette River. The the growing Central City, which expects to hold 30 percent of the city's future population in the next 25 years, the Green Loop is for the people. It's a 21st century open space that will encourage more Portlanders to stay in the Central City, longer. For more information, visit https://www.portlandmaps.com/bps/greenloop/.
City Council directs Map Refinement Project to evaluate additional properties
The 2035 Comprehensive Plan process included major changes to both the Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map. Near the end of the Comprehensive Plan process, City Council directed the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) to conduct an evaluation of the post-adoption 2035 Comprehensive Plan on a short list of potential map changes.
The bureau is starting this project as directed by Council in Exhibit O – Further Refinement Directive, and will evaluate the Comprehensive Plan designation and zoning on a list of sites and bring recommendations back to Council for further consideration.
In addition, the Map Refinement Project will include a review of technical map changes on additional properties.
