Chief Electrical Inspector Brett Welland (left) and Senior Electrical Inspector Jeff Copeland (right) both recently completed the NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) certification program based on the NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, 2015 Edition standard.
This program is specifically designed to meet the certification requirements of supervisors, managing electricians and other facilities personnel who work with electrical power systems. To be qualified to take the 110 question, 3 hour examination, Brett and Jeff had to be licensed General Supervising Electricians, verify at least 8,000 hours of work with electrical power systems, and had to complete a minimum of 40 hours of electrical safety training within the last 3 years.
The training and certifications they received will aid BDS in ensuring that the electrical safety policies and in-house training that we provide our inspectors is among the best in the nation. Way to go Brett and Jeff!
