Next DRAC Meeting: Feb. 15, 2018

1900 BuildingThe DRAC’s next meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at 8 a.m. Potential agenda items include: 

DRAC Member Vacancy – Small Businesses

We are still accepting applications to fill the vacant position on the DRAC representing Small Businesses. If anyone you know is interested in applying for DRAC membership, please direct them to Mark Fetters (503-823-1028 or mark.fetters@portlandoregon.gov). 

Jan. 18, 2018 DRAC Meeting

DRAC members elected their 2018 DRAC Chair (Justin Wood) and Vice-Chair (Claire Carder). Most of the meeting was spent discussing a handful of topics:

Dec. 21, 2017 DRAC Meeting 

DRAC members continued their discussion regarding asbestos and lead remediation in demolitions, with members approving a motion supporting the proposed ordinance presented at the meeting. 

Significant time was also spent discussing the Mayor’s Fast Track Permitting Pilot proposal. DRAC members expressed concerns with the potential impacts of the pilot on other project timelines. 

DRAC members also heard updates on PBOT’s Local Transportation Infrastructure Charge and BPS’s Central City 2035 project.

Nov. 16, 2017 DRAC Meeting

DRAC members heard reports from City staff and spent significant time discussing three topics: 

  • Senate Bill 871 / Lead & Asbestos – Nancy Thorington (BDS) gave an update on a proposed ordinance to address lead and asbestos issues in demolitions. 
  • Transportation Demand Management Plan Requirement in Mixed Use Zones – Liz Horman (Housing Bureau) discussed proposed code amendments. 
  • Local Transportation Infrastructure Charge (LTIC) / Neighborhood Streets Program – Kurt Krueger (PBOT) discussed LTIC fees and how they’re used. 

DRAC members also discussed an update to their Work Plan and the presentation of an annual report to City Council.
