Last fall, we wrote that BDS was putting together an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between BDS and Portland State’s Survey Research Lab to conduct new customer, community and employee satisfaction surveys for BDS.
In December 2017, City Council approved the IGA, and planning is now underway to conduct the surveys.
The current schedule calls for the employee survey to be conducted first, in early spring, followed by the customer survey and the community survey at later dates. The surveys will be conducted primarily online. The BDS Equity Committee (BEC), Labor Management Committee (LMC) and Management Team are currently reviewing the employee survey and will also be reviewing the customer and community surveys.
The customer and community surveys will gauge attitudes and opinions regarding the quality, effectiveness and timeliness of BDS programs and services. Over the last 15 years, results and analysis from similar surveys has helped us set operational priorities and make decisions regarding programs and services that impact customers and the community. The last BDS customer/community survey was conducted in 2014.
