The Bureau of Development Services (BDS) is hosting a series of three Lunch and Learn presentations about changes to the Portland Zoning Code adopted to implement the 2035 Comprehensive Plan.
The first Lunch and Learn will focus on the big picture. The next two events will focus on changes for Employment Zones and manufacturing uses, and development in mixed use zones.
The big picture Lunch and Learn presentation is appropriate for those who want an overview of significant upcoming zoning code changes. The second and third Lunch and Learn presentations are appropriate for those who have development plans or work for those who have development plans in Employment and Industrial zones, as well as in the new Commercial/Mixed Use zones.
Registration for the Lunch and Learn presentations is not required. If you have questions about the events, please contact Colleen Poole at 503-823-7889.
The changes to regulations in the Portland Zoning Code associated with the 2035 Comprehensive Plan become effective the afternoon of May 24, 2018. The Bureau of Development Services posts information on City projects that involve updates to the Portland Zoning Code on the Summary of Upcoming Regulatory Changes page (https://www.portlandoregon.gov/bds/article/595609).
In the coming weeks, BDS will add additional information to the Summary of Upcoming Regulatory Changes page, including updated forms to be effective the afternoon of May 24, and a summary of significant changes to the Portland Zoning Code. This information will continue to be updated through future planning projects, including the 2035 Central City Plan, Residential Infill Plan and Better Housing by Design.
