Help stop invasive plants
Invasive plants damage the region’s habitat and natural areas. They can climb and kill trees, lead to erosion, clog waterways, and smother native plants. You can help by learning how to remove invasive plants from your yard or garden and by being careful when visiting parks and natural areas.
Learn what you can do about invasive plants at www.portlandoregon.gov/bes/invasives.
Our parks and natural areas need your help
Seeds from invasive plants can hitch a ride whenever you hike, bike, or explore. To help stop the spread of invasive plants, take an extra minute to scrape the dirt off your boots or tires and remove seeds from the laces. Give your dog a quick brushing after a hike or walk in the park.
