The Fanno Pressure Sewer Improvement Project has replaced nine of the 19 maintenance access structures planned for replacement in nine locations in the Garden Home are. The project has also installed a pressure monitoring and recording system station near SW Railroad Street. These upgrades will ensure that the Fanno Basin Sewer System will continue to handle all wastewater flows year-round and provide better monitoring of the entire sewer system in the area. The project will protect public health and the health of the Fanno Creek Watershed.
Neighbors called with concerns last week that the Fanno Creek Trail was closed without any notice received. The closure at SW 86th Avenue was not related to the Fanno Pressure Sewer project and was a paving project by the Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District. The trail should remain open for the remainder of the Fanno Pressure Sewer project, except for a short closure during surface restoration. An email notice will be sent when the date is set.
