The Streamlining Team provides collaborative pre-application review of stream restoration projects in the City of Portland. Recent projects that have benefited from the streamlining process include Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail bridge construction and the East Lents Floodplain Restoration Project (now known as the Foster Floodplain Natural Area). Since 2004, the team has provided innovative service to reduce time and money in the permitting process.
Environmental Services coordinates the Streamlining Team which includes representatives from the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Oregon Department of State Lands. the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Marine Fisheries Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Portland Bureau of Development Services.
