Get Street Trees Planted at a Multi-family Residential, Business, or Non-Profit Property

new trees at Ventura Park

Environmental Services provides free street trees and four years of establishment care (including watering) for commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential properties. We plant street trees in existing planting strips and cut-outs, and we create new concrete cut-outs where space allows. Street trees can be planted in frontages with or without curbs and sidewalks. As established by city code, long-term care of street trees is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner.

Fill out the form below to sign up your commercial, industrial, or multi-family residential property for free street tree planting. Signing up for our program does not commit you to street trees. After you sign up, a city inspector will visit your property to determine the number and type of street trees that may be planted. If you do not like your inspection results, or for any other reason, you may opt-out of planting by the date listed in the Planting Season Timeline. Please note that we cannot plant trees required as part of a private development permit. We no longer plant trees required by Remove & Replant permits.
