City-wide
Environmental Services provides free trees and four years of establishment care (including watering) for commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential properties. We plant street trees in existing planting strips and cut-outs, and we create new concrete cut-outs where space allows. Street trees can be planted in frontages with or without curbs and sidewalks. As established by city code, long-term care of street trees is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner.
East of 82nd Avenue & Jade District
For properties on or east of 82nd Avenue and properties in the Jade District, we are offering free tree planting on private property as well as in the public right-of-way. We will work with you to plant trees where they benefit you the most. We can plant trees in existing landscape areas or remove asphalt to make space for new trees. Long-term care of all trees planted is the responsibility of the property owner.
Fill out the form below to sign up your commercial, industrial, or multi-family residential property for free tree planting. Signing up for our program does not commit you to trees. An inspector will determine where trees may be planted and follow-up with you.
Please note that we cannot plant trees required as part of a development permit.
