Environmental Services is nearing completion on a project to repair or replace 17,000 feet (more than 3 miles) of public sewer pipes in the Humboldt neighborhood that are on average 85 years old and in deteriorating condition. This project will protect public health and our environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses and streets.
Major sewer construction and street restoration as part of the Humboldt Sewer Repair Project are complete.
Throughout construction many neighbors have contacted us to ask questions, report concerns, and provide general comments and feedback. Many of you have informed us of medical concerns, private events, landscaping, or home improvements that were occurring within the project area. We know construction can be inconvenient and disrupt normal daily activity. Your communication has helped us reduce our overall impact while performing this necessary work.
