Environmental Services continues construction of upgrades to the Alder Pump Station. The city constructed the pump station at SE Water Avenue and SE Alder Street in 1952. This upgrade project will improve reliability and increase pumping capacity, which will help prevent sewage releases into buildings and streets and combined sewage and stormwater overflows to the Willamette River. For details about the improvements to be made, click here.

Project Map

Construction of upgrades will go through several phases and be completed in March 2019. Typical work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with construction the same hours on Saturday as needed.

The city’s contractor, Stellar J Corporation, is making steady progress on the project and expects to start up the new pump station in January 2019.
