Sheridan Sewer Trunk Alignment Study

Updated July 11, 2019Button. Click to sign up for email updates

Environmental Services – your sewer and stormwater utility – will soon begin designing a project to repair or replace several hundred feet of public sewer pipe in your neighborhood that is showing signs of deterioration due to age.

Before design can begin, the project team will be investigating the possibility of relocating a main public sewer line from private property south of Sam Jackson Road near Duniway Park. In addition to replacing aging pipe, relocating the main public sewer pipe will result in more efficient sewage flows and increased accessibility for future maintenance.

Sewer construction is expected to start in the spring of 2021.

What is happening now?Project Map

No activities are currently scheduled.  During the fall and winter of 2019/2020, the project team will be installing flow monitoring equipment to better understand the existing sewer's capacity to manage stormwater during heavy rain events.

Information gathered will help us determine the best location to repair the sewer, select sewer construction methods, and minimize construction impacts on residents and businesses.
