The City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services is continuing our work to repair and replace critical sewer and stormwater infrastructure. Environmental Services will continue to provide information and updates on construction schedules and activities during the COVID-19 emergency.
Environmental Services – the City’s sewer and stormwater bureau – is designing a project to upgrade a pump station in Northeast Portland. Design work is scheduled to begin in July 2020. This project will replace the existing pump station with a new larger pump station. This will increase pumping capacity, enhance accessibility for maintenance, and improve drainage. The upgrades will help protect public health and the environment by reducing sewage backups to homes, businesses, streets and natural areas.
This project is located at 7548 NE 33rd Drive, adjacent to the Columbia Slough.
In preparation for the start of design, City surveyors will be conducting a survey on and near your property. The purpose of this survey is to collect information on existing features such as curbs, sidewalks, fences, trees, structures, utilities and to locate existing survey monuments to resolve the right of way lines for the project. The information will help City engineers and engineering consultants hired by the City to design the project. This work will be at the City’s expense.
During this work, surveyors may place temporary and/or permanent survey monuments, stakes, flags, and paint marks on your property. For project purposes, please do not remove these markers.
Oregon Revised Statutes allows PBOT land surveyor to conduct survey work on or near private property to achieve field investigations for the purpose of public works project. Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. between June and July 2020, survey crews are scheduled to be on NE 33rd Drive, south of 7548 NE 33rd Drive and north of the southern slough bridge.
