Ecoroof Portland - Event Update
Jan 29, 2010 at 1:20 PM 0 Comments
We're starting to announce details for Ecoroof Portland on March 12-13, 2010!
About the Venue
The event will take place at the Leftbank Annex, an amazing space located at 101 N. Weidler Street near the Rose Quarter in downtown Portland. Learn more about the Leftbank Project here.
Calling Ecoroof Professionals
Several vendors have signed up for the event - space is limited and going fast. Do you design or install ecoroofs? Or perhaps you have a business that supplies ecoroof plants and soil, or manufactures ecoroof products. We're still accepting applications for booth space. Download an application and here.
Speakers Confirmed
We're so excited to have confirmed a few speakers for the event:
Ed Snodgrass is owner and president of Emory Knoll Farms Inc. and Green Roof Plants. Ed Snodgrass is a fifth generation farmer and nurseryman specializing in plants and horticultural consulting for green roofs. Emory Knoll Farms Inc. has supplied plants for over two million square feet of green roof on over 250 roofs in 25 states and the District of Columbia as well as green roofs in Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. Ed has lectured widely on green roofs at regional, national and international conferences.
Linda S. Velazquez, ASLA Associate, LEED AP, is founder and publisher/editor of Greenroofs.com (1999) where she writes and reports extensively about greenroofs, and is principal of Sky Gardens Design, a greenroof design and consulting firm. Linda holds a Bachelor's of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia (2000).
David J Sailor is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Materials Engineering at Portland State University. In 2009 he founded the Green Building Research Laboratory (GBRL). Dr Sailor and his group conduct research into the building energy and environmental consequences of green roof design decisions.
