Portland Airport's Headquarters Open House

If you've been out to the Portland International Airport over the last several months, you've likely noticed the construction of the new parking garage and Port headquarters. But you might not know this new structure holds a 10,000 ft² ecoroof!
The good news is that the Port of Portland is having an open house to show off the new facility, including the ecoroof, on June 5th. From the Port's website:
Come See the Port of Portland's New Headquarters!
Have you noticed all the construction activity at Portland International Airport? This spring, we completed a long-term parking garage with a new Port of Portland headquarters on top; the building has many green features and was designed to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, gold certification standards.
We are all moved in and would like to share with our neighbors all the environmental features of the new building. See how we are using 75 percent less water and 36 percent less energy; learn about the mysteries of the Living Machine system; and take in the 10,000 square feet of landscaping on our roof that reduces our impact on the storm water system and helps insulate the building.
Please join us at our open house on June 5. We encourage you to take an alternative mode of transportation to this event - TriMet Red Line light rail, walking, cycling, or sharing a ride with a neighbor or co-worker.
When: June 5, 2010
Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Port of Portland Headquarters, 7200 N.E. Airport Way
Vehicle Parking: Please bring your parking ticket with you for validation
Bicycle Parking: Open bicycle parking is available at the terminal
The Port’s headquarters is wheelchair accessible. People with special needs who plan on attending are asked to contact us at 503.415.6532.
