Last week we were excited to learn that Metro staff spotted a nesting killdeer on the ecoroof atop their headquarters in northeast Portland. Further inspection suggests she is incubating eggs and a second bird (likely her mate) has been staying close-by.

Normally open to the public during the week, access to the roof has been temporarily suspended so the birds are not disturbed.
