Stewardship grant applications and workshops

Environmental Services is accepting grant applications for watershed health projects in the Portlandcity limits. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012. For application materials and information, go to www.portlandonline.com/bes/stewardship, call 503-823-7917, or email rebecca.hamilton@portlandoregon.gov.

The Community Watershed Stewardship Program grants up to $10,000 for projects that encourage watershed protection and enhancement. Citizen groups, businesses, non-profits, student groups, faith organizations, neighborhood, business or homeowner associations, and service groups in the City ofPortlandare eligible to apply. Past projects include pavement removal, art and education, rain gardens, invasive plant removal, naturescaping, and natural area cleanup and restoration.

Environmental Services has scheduled three grant application workshops:
