Environmental Services, Parks and Metro partner to protect 54 acres in the Columbia Slough
This new addition to Portland’s public parks is one of the largest remaining natural areas in the Columbia Slough watershed.
Environmental Services contributed funding from the Grey to Green land acquisition program, which seeks to protect natural resources that provide clean water, like the wetlands and forests on this property in Northeast Portland, near the Cully and Concordia neighborhoods. Healthy natural areas help us protect and improve water quality in our streams and rivers, along with many other benefits for people and wildlife.
