Multnomah Village is at the headwaters of Tryon and Vermont creeks. Pavement and buildings generate stormwater runoff that flows to the creeks, adding pollutants and sediment and increasing stream velocity. Environmental Services constructed green street stormwater management facilities to collect and treat stomwater runoff. Construction was completed in summer 2013.

Green street facilities are located on SW Troy, at the Multnomah Arts Center, Lucky Lab, and along SW Capitol Highway. Combined, these facilities treat over 800,000 gallons of stormwater.
