Multnomah Boulevard is major transportation corridor and stormwater runoff from the street carries pollutants to Tryon and Verrmont creeks. In 2011, Environmental Services constructed stormwater planters and swales that capture stormwater and allow it to soak into the ground. Vegetation and soil in the planters filter pollutants.
