Portland is often featured in national stories about green infrastructure, but we think this one is particularly exciting. “Water Blues: Green Solutions” is a new project by Penn State Public Media (producers of the 2008 documentary Liquid Assets) to build up national awareness about solutions to America’s water crisis. Portland, Philadelphia, New York and San Antonio will all be featured in an interactive documentary about natural solutions to our nation’s aging infrastructure, water quality problems and climate challenges.
This week, Producer and Director Frank Christopher and Videographer Mark Stitzer were in town to gather footage, talk with Environmental Services Staff, and tour stormwater facilities across the city. You can check out the trailers and follow the filmmakers’ progress at www.waterblues.org.
