Lents Park Tree Walk

Lents Park trees

Open to the public for nearly 100 years, Lents Park is a well-loved and dynamic place to play in the heart of Lents, one of Portland’s largest and most diverse neighborhoods.  With 55 species, and more than 500 trees, Lents Park also acts as a rich arboretum.  It is home to many types of trees including native and non-native species, broadleaf evergreens, deciduous conifers, and living fossils. Lents Park is in the Johnson Creek watershed and the trees in the park help support a healthy ecosystem in the area.

Join Lea Wilson, Environmental Services and Confluence Environmental Center's Community Urban Forest Coordinator, for the second of two guided walks of the trees in Lents Park and get on a first name basis with your urban forest. The focus of this walk is on the park's conifers.

Where: Meet at Lents Community Garden (SE 88th & Steele St)

When: Wednesday June 26th 7:00-8:30pm
