The quality of stormwater runoff, or discharge, entering the City's UICs is assessed by annually monitoring a representative subset of the City's 9,000 UICs. UIC drainage areas are shown in yellow.

The results of this ongoing work are reported in annual stormwater discharge monitoring reports, and summarized in annual UICMP reports. The City's WPCF Permit is renewed every 10 years. With each renewal is an opportunity to make changes to the scope of the permit requirements.
