SW Taylors Ferry Road 24-hour lane closure this weekend
Traffic Advisory
May 7, 2015
Sewer construction will close the northbound traffic lane on SW Taylors Ferry Road this weekend between SW Macadam Avenue and SW Fulton Park Boulevard. The lane closure will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 and last until work is complete. The lane will reopen no later than 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015.
Flaggers will move southbound traffic through the work zone in a single lane during continuous weekend construction. The contractor will install a large manhole during the weekend work and may need to completely close Taylors Ferry Road if construction makes vehicle passage unsafe.
Motorists and bike riders should expect delays and consider detouring around the construction area.
The contractor may also work the same hours on the weekend of May 15 through May 18. The weekend work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
This construction is part of an Environmental Services project to increase sewer system capacity and control sewer odors.
