SW Taylors Ferry Road closure Saturday night May 15, 2015
Traffic Advisory
May 15, 2015
SW Taylors Ferry Road will close for overnight sewer construction between SW Macadam Avenue and SW Fulton Park Boulevard starting today (Friday, May 15) at 8:00 p.m. The southbound lane of Taylors Ferry will re-open to traffic tomorrow (Saturday, May 16) at 6:00 a.m.
The northbound lane of Taylors Ferry Road will remain closed in the construction zone throughout the weekend, and will reopen no later than 6:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015. From 6:00 a.m. Saturday through early Monday morning, flaggers will move southbound traffic through the work zone in a single lane during continuous weekend construction.
The contractor is installing a large manhole during the weekend work and may need to completely close Taylors Ferry Road if construction makes vehicle passage unsafe.
Motorists and bike riders should expect delays and consider detouring around the construction area.
This construction is part of an Environmental Services project to increase sewer system capacity and control sewer odors.
