Another SW Taylors Ferry Road closure begins Friday night

Sewer construction will once again close SW Taylors Ferry Road between SW Macadam Avenue and SW Fulton Park Boulevard beginning today (Friday, May 29) at 8:00 p.m. Flaggers will reopen the southbound lane of Taylors Ferry Road tomorrow (Saturday, May 30) at 6:00 a.m. The northbound lane will remain closed between SW Fulton Park Boulevard and SW Macadam Avenue until construction is complete, no later than 6:00 a.m. Monday, June 1.
Flaggers will maintain local access, including access to River View Cemetery and Riverview Abbey Funeral Home, throughout construction
Motorists and bicyclists should expect delays and plan to use an alternate route.
The contractor also plans to work the same hours on the weekend of June 5 through June 8.
The construction is part of an Environmental Services project to increase sewer system capacity and control sewer odors.
