Updated February 17, 2017
Beginning Wednesday, February 22, crews will pause sewer pipe installation on N. Maryland Avenue for about two weeks and focus on repairing manholes in multiple locations throughout the project area.
- At each manhole repair location, you will see traffic control signage for up to eight hours. Please drive with caution when passing these work zones and follow the directions of flaggers if present.
Sewer pipe installation on North Colfax Street and North Concord Avenue is complete.
- The next phase is to restore trenches used during sewer construction with concrete.
- This involves removing temporary asphalt currently patching trenches, preparing the trenches for restoration, pouring the wet concrete into the trenches, and allowing the concrete to cure for about seven days while it hardens to a strength that’s safe for cars and trucks to drive on.
- Concrete restoration work is highly dependent on weather and subcontractor availability. Residents should expect a period of inactivity ranging from a couple weeks to a couple months.
The map below shows the anticipated construction locations for February and March, 2017. Please be aware that construction schedules are subject to change due to underground conditions, weather, traffic impacts, subcontractor schedules and availability of materials.
