Environmental Services will soon begin construction on a project to repair or replace about 5,765 feet (over one mile) of 90-year-old public sewer pipes in the Montavilla Neighborhood, south of Stark Street, that are deteriorating due to age. The project will also install 11 new manholes, repair 38 manholes, and replace 78 public sewer connections to private properties. This investment in your neighborhood will ensure continued dependable sewer service and protect the public and our environment by reducing the possibility of sewage releases to homes, businesses, and streets.
Another project in the Montavilla Neighborhood, north of Stark Street, is also being constructed. For more information about the Montavilla North project, click here.
Construction is anticipated to begin in September 2018 and take about 10 months to complete.
