Labor / Employee Relations provides advice, counsel and training to bureau managers and supervisors on a range of Labor and Employment related issues and challenges.
Labor Relations representatives:
- Answer questions and provide advice regarding the application, interpretation and implementation of collective bargaining agreements
- Provide information to manager and supervisors on labor and employment related laws, discipline/discharge, layoff/recall and termination policies and procedures which governs each collective bargaining agreement
- Administer the City’s Commercial Driver License (CDL) compliance program
- Provide support for the Unemployment Insurance Claim process
