1) How and when did your employment journey begin with the City of Portland?
My journey began a few weeks before college graduation in May of 2017, with the Bureau of Human Resources (BHR). I started as a Community Service Aid II, archiving various confidential documents for the bureau before the move from the Portland Building, due to the renovation. I transitioned into an Office Support Specialist II role with the Bureau of Development Services, but decided human resources was what I wanted to pursue. I have spent the past two years as the Front Desk Receptionist for BHR.
2) What is your current role?
I am proud to announce that today (10.3.19), is my first day as an HR Benefits Analyst with the Total Rewards team.
3) Name one thing that you enjoy most or look forward to about your job?
The opportunity to grow in my professional development and to build new relationships with people.
