John S. Hunt, CPFP oversees all of CityFleet operations – managing 77 employees with over 900 years of combined fleet experience, 7 service and repair shops, 8 fueling stations, motor pool and approximately 2,950 vehicles and pieces of equipment valued at over $110 million. CityFleet is responsible for an annual Capital Acquisition Budget of over $18 million and an Operating Budget of over $17 million. In 2008, John was selected by APWA as its “Public Fleet Professional Manager of the Year” for his innovative ideas, accomplishments and abilities in gaining credibility and recognition for his fleet team. Under John’s leadership, Portland was named the #1 Fleet for 2011 by Government Fleet Magazine under the 100 Best Fleets in North America program. John serves on the American Public Works Association (APWA) Certification Commission, the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Fleet Managers Association, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Sustainability and Efficiency Task Force (SETF).
Kate Wood is the City Risk Manger for the City of Portland and has over 25 years of government risk, loss prevention and safety experience. In her current position, Kate is responsible for managing, directing and providing leadership to the development and implementation of a city-wide risk management and loss control programs. These programs protect the City from exposure to risk that could have adverse consequences to City operations, financial position or community reputation. Kate’s work experience has reflected her educational achievements, while she holds a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) from the Hunter College-Bellevue School of Nursing, City University of New York. She attended the University of Washington in Seattle where she earned a master of Nursing degree. At the same time she earned a Certificate in Administration from the University of Washington Graduate School of Business. In 1990, Kate was awarded her Associate in Risk Management.
Matthew Spitulski is the City of Portland’s Printing and Distribution Manager. Matthew has worked for the City of Portland for over 20 years. He started his City time with P&D when the print shop was located at SE 11th Avenue and Division Street in the 80’s. His service areas include inter-office distribution, US Mail, Copier Services, some traditional print shop work as well as digital imaging and microfilm services. He accepted the position of the City’s Printing and Distribution Manger in 2014. Matthew is also responsible for managing customer relationships with other governmental agencies and local non-profits for P&D services. Matthew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Portland State University. He resides in northeast Portland.
