Special Event Liability Insurance / TULIP
IMPORTANT NOTICE: City Bureaus may not purchase insurance directly.
State regulations prohibit City Bureaus from purchasing insurance on behalf of the citizen. Citizens must purchase the required coverage directly.
City Bureaus who need insurance for their own operations or their own activities need to contact City Risk for assistance. See City Code 3.15.020.G
Please note the following conditions:
Coverage must be purchased at least 1 day in advance of event.
TULIP Program cannot accept facilities / locations that are not managed by City of Portland bureaus (i.e. Pioneer Square or some small community centers operated by a 3rd party). The Program is not able to name 3rd parties as Additional Insured, which is usually a requirement. If you are making a reservation through an organization other than the City, please clarify what the insurance requirements are before purchasing this coverage.
