John Hunt, CityFleet Manager

John S. Hunt, CPFP oversees all of CityFleet operations – managing 77 employees with over 900 years of combined fleet experience, 7 service and repair shops, 8 fueling stations, motor pool and approximately 2,950 vehicles and pieces of equipment valued at over $110 million.  CityFleet is responsible for an annual Capital Acquisition Budget of over $18 million and an Operating Budget of over $17 million.  In 2008, John was selected by APWA as its “Public Fleet Professional Manager of the Year” for his innovative ideas, accomplishments and abilities in gaining credibility and recognition for his fleet team.  Under John’s leadership, Portland was named the #1 Fleet for 2011 by Government Fleet Magazine under the 100 Best Fleets in North America program.  John serves on the American Public Works Association (APWA) Certification Commission, the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Fleet Managers Association, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Sustainability and Efficiency Task Force (SETF).
