Design Guidelines

South Waterfront Design Guidelines and South Waterfront Greenway Design Guidelines, 2009

UDS led the Design Guideline update for South Waterfront which involved developing imagery, maps, formatting, and final language for the new Design Guidelines.

River District Design Guidelines, 2008

UDS prepared site analysis materials for the North Pearl District Plan and assisted in the facilitation of a multi-day charrette. UDS also produced imagery, maps and formatting for the River District Design Guideline amendment package.

Gateway Regional Center Design Guidelines, 2004

UDS staff developed design guidelines for the Gateway Regional Center in East Portland. The design guidelines proposed subareas for the large regional center and a hierarchy of street types.

Marquam Hill Design Guidelines, 2002

UDS staff prepared design guidelines as part of the Marquam Hill Plan process for redevelopment in Marquam Hill. The guidelines Include concepts for functional areas and pedestrian and vehicle circulation.

Central City Fundamental Design Guidelines, 2001

This document updated language and added imagery to the design guidelines of Central City. It incorporates the Downtown Design Guidelines (1983) and describes what design guidelines are applicable in what districts of the Central City.
