The Outer Powell Blvd Conceptual Design Plan has identified safety and accessibility upgrades for pedestrians, cyclists and transit riders, while also improving the roadway for automobiles. The Urban Design Studio partnered with the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT), the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and the community to envision a concept plan, centered around the idea of Outer Powell Blvd as a ‘main street,’ focusing on the corridor’s unique features, clusters of locally owned small businesses and other neighborhood amenities.
