The Community Involvement PEG will be updating the Comprehensive Plan’s citizen involvement policies to be consistent with the City of Portland Public Involvement Principles that were adopted by City Council in August, 2010. Specifically, this PEG will focus on community involvement policies that relate to: citywide policy development, community and area planning, land use reviews and permitting, and transportation and public facilities.
Community members have been chosen for their experience and ability to draw upon the feedback/experiences of a larger community or constituency regarding perspectives on the topic of their PEG, and for their ability to collect feedback from that community or constituency when needed. Agency staff members have been chosen to bring an agency perspective to PEG discussions and to be able to take back and share PEG developments within their agencies, getting feedback when needed.
