A "standing room only" crowd of nearly 100 people attended the West Hayden Island Project open house held by the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability on Tuesday July 17th. At the Oxford Suites on Hayden Island, Mayor Sam Adams began the proceedings by opening up the floor to public comments and questions, which were summarized and posted throughout the meeting room during the first hour. This was followed by a presentation from City Staff on the current West Hayden Island process, which included additional information about the progress of the study of health issues for adjacent areas.
A summary of the comments and questions from the open house along with staff answers will be posted in the near future, once they are completed. Check the website for new information moving forward at www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/whi.
