Meeting Goals

  • Refine policy recommendations for Chapter 1 and Community Involvement elements of Chapter 8
  • Review draft CI PEG Summary Memo and determine process for detailed revisions

FACILITATED DISCUSSION: Discuss and Refine Recommendations for Changes to the Working Draft (6:05 p.m. / 90 minutes)

Facilitator: Deb Meihoff

Description: Paul Leistner, with the assistance of the PIAC work group, has conducted a gap analysis of the community involvement goals and policies in the Working Draft against best practices from literature review and public feedback from the community survey and workshops. The facilitated discussion will review change ideas identified through this analysis and determine additional CI PEG recommendations for revisions or additions to the Working Draft goals and policies.

Discussion will be structured around these questions:

  • Is the identified gap in Working Draft policy an element that the CI PEG recommends carrying forward?
  • Is the existing and/or newly recommended policy or goal nested in the right location of the refined organizational structure - ongoing policy, project-specific policy, administrative policy, or community involvement manual?
  • Is there anything else missing in the policy document that will lead to positive change in the way the City practices community involvement under the Comprehensive Plan?

Description: Review draft summary memo structure and field ideas for changes to order or content. Discuss most effective and efficient way to edit the memo and prepare to finalize at the last CI PEG meeting in June.
