Aquifer Adventure 

 

Location: Portland Water Bureau Canoe Launch at NE 166th and Airport Way, Portland, OR, 97230

Date: Saturday, September 16th

Time: 12PM-4PM

 

Description:

The Columbia Slough Watershed Council and the Portland Water Bureau are co-hosting a pirate themed family festival all about groundwater! Play fun games and go on a scavenger hunt in search of hidden treasure - not gold, but groundwater, a precious resource that flows beneath your feet!  Come dressed in yer finest pirate togs, or else the Cap’n might make ye walk the plank! Free kids T-shirts to the first 300 kids!

 

Activities include:

- A treasure hunt

-Canoe rides

- Face painting

- Hands-on science activities

- Ice cream aquifers and much more!

 

FREE!  No registration required.

Food will be available for purchase from Mixteca Catering. All activities (including 15-minute canoe rides) are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
