Current Projects
The Environmental Planning Program produces natural resource inventories (NRI), analyses and regulations for a variety of projects. These reports incorporate the best available information to support and inform complex environmental policy and program decisions. Staff are working on the following projects:
Willamette River Central Reach Natural Resources Protection Plan
Inventory and recommended natural resources protection for the Central City 2035 Plan; expected to be adopted by City Council in spring of 2018
Environmental Overlay Zone Map Correction Project
This project will correct the location of the environmental overlay zone boundaries to match the location of streams, wetlands, forests, steep slopes and wildlife habitat documented in the citywide Natural Resources Inventory, which was adopted with the 2035 Comprehensive Plan in 2016.
