Description:

Join PBS's AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, the Northwest Film Center and The Circus Project for a performance and special preview of the upcoming miniseries The Circus. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring writer, producer and director Sharon Grimberg, circus historian Dominique Jando, and historian and author Dr. Janet Davis. The Circus explores the colorful history of this popular, influential and distinctly American form of entertainment, from the first one-ring show at the end of the 18th century to 1956, when the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey big top was pulled down for the last time.

The miniseries will premiere on October 8 and 9 at 9pm on Oregon Public Broadcasting and PBS stations nationwide.
