Rick Nixon
Program Manager, eGovernment and eCommerce
Focus: Team excellence and communication, project management, PCI remediation.
Background: Development, QA, Applications, Sales, Management positions in Electronic Design Automation; Mentor Graphics Corp., Director of Engineering, Internet Division of Synopsys, Inc.
Rick has been responsible for managing development efforts, and supplying process and technology to the City's open data, open standards, and open software initiatives. After having launched the Civic Apps For Greater Portland site (www.CivicApp.org), Rick continues to work with regional government agencies, private sector third parties, and championing of community engagement and transparency in government vis-a-vis the local software community in the form of meet-ups, hackathons, app design contests, council resolutions, and more.
Richard Davies
Web Application Developer, lead developer for for City websites using both proprietary and open source technologies.
Focus: Enterprise-level application design and development; full-stack web development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ColdFusion and Microsoft SQL Server; and web service/API development.
