Timekeepers, Timekeeper Supervisors, CTAs, Payroll folks, and Change Agents,
You may recall reading about the SAP Time Management Redesign project, which will simplify the rules in SAP and simplify the time entry process for timekeepers. (more info and project updates here)
Frankly, there are a lot of changes coming. Fortunately, most of them will simplify the timekeeping process. As the project moves forward, we’ll be providing you with new tools, job aids, and training opportunities so that you’ll be well prepared when the new schema goes live (currently planned for June 6th.)
But before then, we want to begin showing you some of the exciting changes you’ll be seeing.
For example, the header on the current CATS time sheet looks (as you well know!) like this:
There’s not a lot of information there, just PERNR, name, and cost center.
After getting input from and working with bureau lead timekeepers, the new header looks like this:
You’ll see PERNR, name, cost center, PSA (bargaining unit), ESG (employee status), job code, schedule description, any switches active during the pay period, and the employee’s quota balances – all in one handy place.
And, there’s more coming! We’re going to keep you updated as we move forward so that, as quickly as pieces are finalized, you know what’s coming.
Thank you for your input, advice, and help as we test the new system!
